Taiwan and Paraguay have jointly established Taiwan-Paraguay Polytechnic University (Universidad Politechnica Taiwan-Paraguay, UPTP), which offers an international exchange program while Taiwan Tech will assist with providing instructors and co-arranging the curriculum. Taiwan will guide the development of UPTP, which specializes in cultivating engineering and technological talent in Paraguay. The university offers degrees in civil and construction engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, and information engineering.
