Admission Master’s

Applications to the Mechanical Engineering Master’s program are accepted from persons who have completed, or will have completed by the time they arrive, a Bachelor's degree. 

How does the admission process work?

Applicants to the NTUST mechanical engineering graduate program should apply via the NTUST Admission Portal. The documents will be reviewed by the Admission Committee of Mechanical Engineering Department with careful consideration on an individual basis.

The Mechanical Engineering Department admission committee considers:

► Your previous academic results (i.e. transcripts of your bachelor's degree)

► Your motivation letter or Statement of Purpose (where you explain why you wish to join the program) 

► The topic and quality of your academic projects or activity you have attended.

How to apply? 

There are two intakes for international students at Taiwan Tech: Spring term and Fall term. The admission and application period is shown below. Applicants should apply via the NTUST Admission Portal in accordance with the academic calendar.

Detailed information on the application process, fee payments, etc. is offered by the Office of Academic Affairs. If you receive the Letter of Admission, the Office of International Affairs   will assist with enrollment and getting settled at Taiwan Tech.

Financial Aid

International students can apply for scholarships (full or partial) from various sources, prior to their arrival in Taiwan. Among the admitted students of international program, the selected ones will be offered scholarship (decision made by Admission Committee of the Department). For the first year, tuition and fees are waived for the entire school year and a monthly stipend of NT$12,000(full)/ NT$9,000(partial) is granted to a master’s program student; NT$18,000(full)/ NT$12,500 (partial) is granted to a doctoral student. For the second-year master’s students and second-year Ph.D. students, the scholarship will be offered as long as the students meet certain requirements. All international students can also apply for the Taiwan Scholarship offered by the Taiwan government. However, those who have already received financial aid from other sources including Taiwan Scholarship are not eligible to apply for NTUST scholarship.
